Hoy Audubon Society Program: Lake Sturgeon

The lake sturgeon has been part of the Great Lakes for 14,000 years. It is one of Wisconsin’s largest and oldest living fish species. Wisconsin boasts the largest naturally self-sustaining population in the world within the Lake Winnebago system. Learn about the history, current status, and future of the lake sturgeon that have been introduced to the Milwaukee River. The speaker is Brandon Wambach, Fisheries Technician-Southern Lake Fisheries Team, WI DNR.
