Hoy Field Trip: Waterfowl & Gulls on the Kenosha Lakefront

We’ll meet at the parking lot at Southport Park. We will also visit other spots along the lakefront. The field trip end time will depend on bird activity and/or weather conditions but will generally conclude no later than 11:00 AM or 12:00 PM.

Along the lake we’ll be looking for waterfowl as well as various gull species.

NOTE: In the event of poor weather, please check back the evening prior to the event date to confirm.

It’s winter and is usually cold and windy at the lakeshore, so dress for the weather (a warm jacket, a hat, and gloves) and wear sturdy walking shoes. Bring your bird book, binoculars, and a spotting scope if you have one (don’t worry if you don’t!).
