Citizen Science: Spring into Birding – Nurturing Nature

In this introduction to citizen science, learn how your everyday bird observations can help researches understand migration, habitat use and conservation needs. You’re welcome to attend either or both the indoor and outdoor portions of the program. This program is hosted in partnership with the Hoy Audubon Society.
Part one (Indoors, Racine Public Library Community Room): We’ll present on citizen science, spring bird migration in Racine, and what birds you might encounter. Paid parking available.
Part two (Outdoors, Myers Park): Walk (about fifteen minutes) or drive to Myers Park to observe birds and share data using the free eBird, iNaturalist and Merlin apps. Free parking available. This portion involves walking and standing on park paths. This portion will be held if weather permits.
Room: The Community Room – Adult Services, 2nd Floor, Myers Park
Age range: All Ages — Kid attendees are asked to bring an adult with them.
